All paintwork we perform is basecoat and clearcoat only. This means multiple coats of a color base layer are applied first, followed by multiple coats of a clear protective layer for durability and gloss. The steps below outline the possible tasks involved in a full body and paint job or restoration. Not all steps are required for every vehicle; the condition of the vehicle, customer requests, and budget determine which tasks are performed.

Drive Finish Refinement Levels

Our Drive Finish tiers apply after paint application and determine the final level of surface refinement, clarity, and gloss depth. Each tier increases the amount of correction, labor time, and material usage dedicated to the finished result.

  • Tier 1 – Spot Refinement

Includes localized correction of minor dust nibs or isolated imperfections.
Spot sanding and polishing are performed only where necessary.
Designed for standard production finishes and daily drivers seeking a clean, professional result.

  • Tier 2 – Full Wet Sand & Polish

Includes full vehicle wet sanding from 1500–5000 grit.
Complete compound and polish process to enhance gloss depth and reduce surface texture.
Provides a noticeably smoother and more refined finish compared to a standard production finish.

  • Tier 3 – Advanced Show-Level Refinement

Includes additional clearcoat application for increased film build.
Extended surface refinement starting at 800-1000 grit through 8000 grit.
Full compound and multi-stage polish process for maximum clarity and depth.
